The Hec Nicholls Memorial Barn stands opposite the Courthouse. Hec was the first president and a patron of the Helensville and Districts Historical Society.
The barn houses displays of old farming, industry and timber implements representing the main industries of the town other than fishing which will be found in the School Masters’ House.
Further farm implements can be seen outside.
